Hélène Manche
Biography
A graduate of ESAA Duperré, Hélène Manche has always based her work around a delicate yet powerful play of materials, colors and textures. She began her artistic exploration through a sculptural practice, combining textiles, wax, concrete, plastic within meticulous constructions of stratified columns or large-scale mobiles. This work came to life across a broad field, ranging from collaborations with trend offices to designing textiles for fashion and interiors.
In 2017, Hélène started joining forces with globally renowned photographers, including Richard Burbridge, Tim Elkaim, Betina du Toit, Olle Bengtsson, Inès Dieleman, Mathieu Trautmann and Zoé Kovacs, working on various personal projects capturing a new expression of her artistic approach.
Hélène’s savoir-faire and creative universe found a perfect sounding board within set design and textural work in beauty, which she embraces with great passion. Her sharp technique paired with her intuitive creativity were quickly recognised and acclaimed by the world of advertising.
Today, Hélène works with several global luxury brands and Maisons including Chanel, Hermès, YSL, Givenchy, Lancôme, La Prairie, Diptyque, Armani, Shiseido, Valentino, Guerlain, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Omega, Ruinart… as well as influential publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Vanity Fair.
