Biography

Ricardo Gomes is a Portuguese Director based in NYC, fascinated with the world of music and emerging artists.
Featured work includes Madonna, Ye, Patti Smith, Arca, Doja Cat, J Balvin, Maluma, Tokischa, Megan Fox, Michele Lamy, Honey Dijon, Sex Pistols, The Stooges, Marianne Faithful and Pete Doherty amongst others.
Covering magazines and platforms as HighSnobiety, Interview, Rolling Stone, Paper Magazine, Vogue, L’officiel, V Magazine, Dolce & Gabbana, Willy Chavarria amongst others.
Ricardo’s first director role was released in 2021, Madame X, Madonna’s Tour film. This film was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award for Best Long Form Video.
Since then he has directed music videos and lead the Creative on projects such as Madonna’s Celebration Tour, for different brands, events, and artwork for Madonna’s Tour, books, press, single and album covers.
Gomes currently does Creative Direction along side with Founder Carine Roitfeld and Vladimir Roitfeld for their new magazine - Players bringing sports and Fashion together.
Ricardo’s first book, Playground, was published and launched at Bookmarc in New York, in November 2018.
