Vanessa Deutsch
Biography
From a family of dressmakers and tailors, Vanessa Deutsch learnt costume design at the Opéra Garnier in Paris, where she mastered this unique craft.
Following the birth of her children, Vanessa launched her own accessories brand collaborating with Agnès B., Tara Jarmon and Fulsap. She continued her work as a stylist for magazines such as i-D, Milk or Metal, as well as advertising and music projects.
She chose to close her accessories line in 2016 to focus exclusively on styling, working on the latest Karl Lagerfeld Kids campaigns and with Susan Sarandon on a music video for the band Justice.
In 2017, she was appointed costume designer for the French film “Plein La Vue”.
In 2020, she was appointed costume designer for the film “De l’Or Pour Les Chiens”, which was selected at Critics’ Week during the Cannes Film Festival. In the same year she worked on music videos by artists Julien Doré, Ayo et Calogero.
Vanessa styled the Handsaway campaign, fighting sexism and sexual assault against women.
